Our Leadership

The seed that was planted by Mr. Foard was carefully cultivated by Phillip Wilson and Terry Lancaster. The growth of the Firm is a direct result of their hard work and dedication to excellence. With their 30 plus years of tax and audit experience, they have created an environment of trust with clients and other professional practices in the area. Beginning of 2020, Robert Dobbins and Garrett Summers were admitted as owners to the Firm. The Leadership of the Firm is committed to investing in staff development to ensure their clients receive a quality level of guidance and support. They go above and beyond the industry norm to build long-lasting relationships with their clients and staff.

Terry W. Lancaster
CPA, Owner

Terry W. Lancaster graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte in December, 1985 and began working in public accounting in January, 1986. He joined the Firm in 1987 and was admitted as an owner in 1991.

During his time with the Firm, Terry has been primarily involved in auditing not-for-profit organizations, with an emphasis on churches and religious organizations, as well as tax planning for individuals and small businesses. He has worked with hundreds of churches and not-for-profit organizations ranging in size from very small to $100 million+ in assets. He has also worked with individuals and small companies in a large variety of industries.

Terry has served on the Tax Committee of the NCACPA and has been utilized as an advisor for the NCACPA Not-for-Profit Committee as well as the NC Center for Nonprofits. In addition, he has served as Treasurer for churches, a private school, a Habitat affiliate, and other not-for-profit organizations.

Terry is a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In his spare time, he enjoys visiting with his family, traveling the globe, fishing, and relaxing at his mountain home.

Garrett R. Summers
CPA, Owner

Garrett joined the Firm in July 2012. Prior to joining the Firm, he worked as an accountant for a Firm in Boone, NC while completing his Masters in Accounting from Appalachian State University. Garrett is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina and is a member of the AICPA and NCACPA. Garrett’s practice areas include non-profit and church audits as well as business and individual income tax.

Garrett grew up in Statesville, NC and currently resides in Mooresville with his wife, son, and their dog. He enjoys hiking in the mountains, anything on the water, and snowboarding. He is an avid sports fan, and loves cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Appalachian State Mountaineers. He attends Rocky Mount Church and enjoys any opportunity to serve others.

Robert Dobbins
CPA, Owner

Robert joined the Firm in January 2012 after obtaining his Masters in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Robert is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina and is a member of the AICPA and NCACPA. Robert’s practice areas include non-profit and church audits as well as business and individual income tax.

Robert grew up in Hillsborough, NC and currently resides in Indian Trail with his wife, two children, and dog. He enjoys fishing at the beach, exploring new adventures with the family, grilling out, playing and watching sports, and times of fellowship with his Church community.
